Great camping spot or rest stop for lunch. The camping area is large, so no matter what time you arrive, I'm sure you'd be able to find a spot. The walk from the dam, along the pipe and up to the rock, is lovely and very worth while doing.*Would give 5 stars if toilet and dump point were working.

Only one here today, plenty of space for any size rig, there are toilets, but I didn't use them so I can't comment , several fire pits around, would be great in hotter weather for swimming, could easily camp here for a week, but stay clear of the dump point, it is a disgrace, not emptied for a long time, full to the lid with maggots, and water tap next to it not working

This was my second stay at Karalee Rocks - clean and tidy, total silence, and a million stars overhead, what's not to love. Each camper gets their own picnic table and built-in fire pit, and it's a huge site, so plenty of space and privacy. It's a perfect spot for RVs and caravans, but there are a couple of things to be aware of, if (like me) you're not travelling in a self-contained unit. There used to be a toilet, but now it's locked with a sign saying it's no longer in use. Also, make sure you've got everything you'll need *for the morning*, as it's a very long way to the next food and drinks, especially if you're heading east! Because of the distances involved, I'd recommend not leaving it too late in the day to check it out, or you'll be driving through the roos in the dark if you decide not to stay.

Toilet not working, dump point overflowing. VERY poor experience that would be much better if the authorities responsible for maintaining the site looked after it. Interesting history but stay at Boondi Rocks instead.

Nice little spot to break up the long drive to Kalgoorlie. Clean place good for camping or just a day visit. Amazing thinking and engineering from the past to make use of Western Australia's natural landscape and beauty

Large camp ground.Lots of trees.Nice rock to climb. The rainwater from the rock was channeled to a dam and then pumped to the railway for the steam trains. Apparently an engineering feat for the time. 1890.

A great over night stopover between Southern Cross and Coolgardie when on your way to or back from the goldfields region. While there we were treated to an amazing early morning song from a Pied Butcher Bird.

Beautiful spot to spend the night or stop off for lunch. Lots of space, picnic tables, short walks and history around. Only downside was the amount of rubbish there - we stopped for lunch and did a clean up around the place.ig adventure__unlimited

Beautiful place to stay for a few nights.Just make sure you bring everything with you as there’s no working facilities out there as far as I know so self contained caravans, campervans and trailers along camping tents and your own toilet would be best although I did see a dump point when I went out there last so you may be able to dump sewage from caravans there.
